1.What is considered a serious accident?

Classification of accidents according to their seriousness. Accidents are classified according to the nature of the injuries and compromise:

a) Mild: They involve skin and subcutaneous cellular tissue, such as minor contusions, grade 1 and 2 sprains, excoriations, erosions and superficial wounds that only require simple cures or coping, immobilizations with bandages or simple nursing treatments.

b) Less serious: They involve deeper skin planes, reaching the superficial muscular surface or ligaments. These are craniofacial wounds and contusions, wounds requiring suturing, contusions with intramuscular hematomas, tears, grade 3 sprains, polytrauma, extensive but superficial burns, simple ECT. Depending on their complexity, they require advanced nursing procedures or medical treatment.

c) Serious: They affect the functioning of vital systems, or have the possibility of generating functional sequelae. This classification includes complicated ECT, with compromised consciousness, deep wounds with extensive involvement of the muscular planes and/or important blood vessels, severe polytrauma, dislocations, electric shock, fractures in general, especially cranioencephalic, cervical and exposed fractures. They require urgent evaluation and specialized medical treatment. They usually require hospitalization.

2. What is considered a serious illness?

When observation and follow-up at home is necessary.
To generate some type of additional recommendation to the parents.
When there is a wide and evident injury, not necessarily serious.

4. Can parents go to school to pick up their children?

Since the Secretary of Health authorized the 100% capacity in school environments, it was possible to reopen the entrance of parents or guardians to the school to go to the nursing when it is necessary to pick up students.

5. When do I have to pick up my child and how should I do it?

The student must be picked up whenever the request is made by telephone from the nursing office. Parents or guardians may enter the school indicating at the door that they are going to the nursing office, where they will be informed of the handling and the instructions to follow.

6. What are the requirements for the use of the school insurance?

In order to use the school insurance it is only necessary to have the student’s ID card and the policy number (11-68-1000004632).
