Gimnasio Moderno School’s nursing is a welfare service and its main objective is to provide timely, efficient and safe care to students, Gimnasiana community and visitors.
The school has two professional nurses of great human quality with extensive experience in school health.
Facilities and equipment
The nursing is equipped with equipment to assess vital signs, cardiac monitor, automatic external defibrillator AED, first aid kits and emergency stretchers among others.
Other services
The school has an agreement with Emermédica protected area which covers all persons within the school facilities in case of an emergency. In turn, we have a student insurance policy against accidents.

Please DO NOT send your child to school if he/she has had any symptoms of illness, cold, fever, vomiting or diarrhea during the previous night.
In case of contagious diseases such as chicken pox, rubella or measles, please inform the nursing office as soon as possible.
Medication administration
In accordance with the provisions of Article 13 of Law 911 of 2004, the School Nurse can only administer medication to those who present the “corresponding written, legible, correct and updated medical prescription”. Including natural and homeopathic medicines.
For the administration of medication to students it is necessary to have the written authorization of the parents, for this reason the parents must make the request for the administration of the medication by means of the e-mail of the infirmary in which the medical formula must be attached.
Health Record
During the enrollment process, parents must fill out the Nursing Health Record for their children in order to have the necessary health information to provide better care. We also ask you to inform us of any important health event in order to keep the record up to date.
Prescribed Diets
In case your child has any diet prescribed by the doctor or nutritionist or has any food allergy, you must send a photocopy of the diet formulated to the Nursing Department where it will be sent to the commissary and group director.
Vaccination
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Health, all students must keep their vaccination schedule updated according to age.
