Last Thursday, August 24, the eighth grade students, within the framework of the Thinking, Language and Society class, visited the 7 de Agosto Market Square.
This visit sought to bring students closer to the understanding of the production, distribution and marketing of food for healthy eating, as well as to understand the concepts of food sovereignty and food security within the framework of Human Rights.
The students had the opportunity to taste some of the dishes of the restaurants located in the place, identifying the ingredients of the main typical foods of our country, as well as motivating them to investigate their nutritional values in order to generate a healthy and responsible diet.
This activity allowed the students to interact with traders, vendors and farmers, thus allowing them to get closer to the national reality and learn about the process of food production and distribution.
