What is it?

From its first meetings, the flight towards the bicentennial aimed to place the teachers in the center of the reflections. Other institutions bet entirely on the rigor of curricula, theories and models, the Gimnasio Moderno, while recognizing the importance of all of the above, has always believed that none of this would be possible if one does not think seriously about the development of its teachers.

With the opening of this Teacher’s Academy, not only are the hopes of the founders fulfilled, who initially thought of the Gimnasio Moderno as a space that should educate those who would later teach. In the teachers, and only in them is where the heritage of the past meets a body, any tendency towards the future passes through its crucible.

For this purpose, the Principal, in agreement with the Superior Council, has designated to coordinate this task, teacher Pompilio Iriarte, a living example of what a gimnasian can do infront of a group of young boys.
