The year 2024 promises to bring significant changes to the school life at Gimnasio Moderno. Starting in January, a crucial transition process will begin, during which the school will switch from Calendar A to Calendar B.

Furthermore, in the month of February, evaluators from the Council of International Schools will visit the institution to determine if it deserves the certification granted by this organization.

March will be a special month as we celebrate the school’s 110th anniversary.

During the first semester, the Superior Council will select the new school principal.

And, marking a milestone in its history, at the beginning of the second semester, girls will become part of the school as students for the first time.

Regarding the implementation of Calendar B, the implementation process will span three years. The 2024 school year will commence on January 11 and conclude on September 27. Students will enjoy a well-deserved Easter break from March 25 to March 29, and in the middle of the year, they will have a vacation from June 29 to July 14.

For the second school year, spanning from 2024 to 2025, classes will begin on October 15, 2024, and end on July 11, 2025. During this period, students will have a break in December extending from December 13 to January 8. Afterward, they will enjoy a scheduled Easter break from April 14 to April 18, 2025. Finally, the end-of-year academic vacation will take place from July 12 to August 18.

The last year of this transition process will commence on August 19, and students will receive their high school diplomas in early June 2026, aligning with the customary Calendar B schedule worldwide.
