The children of the 5th grade Aesthetics and Literature emphasis, democratically chose by vote the book “Viendo el fuego desde la terraza”, by Jairo Buitrago to be read during the remaining three months of the first academic period of the year.
To decide which book to read, the children reviewed eleven books, read their covers and reviews. And among all these, they chose the book “Viendo el fuego desde la terraza”, a story that talks about the taking of the Palace of Justice by a guerrilla group in 1985, with the background of a love story of two pre-adolescents from Bogota who begin to understand the complicated situation that the country was living at that time.
