To commemorate the 110th anniversary of the school, the book ‘Historia Ilustrada del Gimnasio Moderno’ (Illustrated History of Gimnasio Moderno) was presented to the community. It is an exhaustive compilation of photographs documenting the evolution of the school from its founding in 1914 to the present, in 2024. The images are meticulously accompanied by descriptive texts that relate the events and transcendental figures in the rich history of the institution.
The investigative journalistic work behind this publication was led by Camilo “Tito” De-Irisarri Silva, an alumnus of the class of 1993 and the school’s current Director of Communications. For several months, De-Irisarri Silva dedicated himself to thoroughly exploring the institutional archives, accessing a valuable collection of documents, minutes, publications and the vast photographic archive, which he has been curating and organizing for more than twenty years.
From now on, members of the community and friends of the school will be able to purchase this book at a special price of $80,000, which will be valid until April 15 (inclusive). After this date, the price will be $100,000.
