Last Thursday, the section directors met at the Los Fundadores Library to participate in the beginning of the Restorative Practices course, organized by the Teachers’ School. This space is aimed at section directors and academic areas of the school.
The objective of the course is to offer a more humane and comprehensive approach to improve coexistence in our school community, overcoming traditional methods, which are often retributive and punitive. The restorative approach is essential in this course and provides practical tools to apply in classrooms.
Beyond traditional practices, we emphasize the importance of addressing conflict through compassion and relationship. This commitment reflects our constant search to promote inclusion and well-being in our school community, rejecting methods that exclude and harm.
The instructors, Evert Silva Aliaga and Oscar Borja Santana, from Human Partner, will accompany this learning process for the next four weeks, on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
