Federico Rojas, a student of Fourth Decroly, was crowned champion in the national seedbeds competition, which was held at the Escuela de Unidades Montadas y Equitación del Ejército Nacional (ESUME) [”School of Mounted and Riding Units of the National Army”]. About 200 young riders participated in this contest, but Federico’s participation was number one in the 70 cm jump, in the category of under 13 years.
Looking for a sport that could be practiced outdoors due to the pandemic, Federico found his passion and love for horses. What he likes most about being a rider is the sensation of handling an animal that is much bigger than him, in addition to the harmony and synchronization that exists between him and the horse to achieve the big jumps.
His discipline and perseverance have led him to participate in different tournaments, he was the winner of the internal seedbed of the Equestrian Santa Monica in the 50 cm category, he also came in second place in the 50 cm seedbed and crosshairs tournament. He is currently in preparation for the Interclubes national seed tournament and the Military Equestrian League to be held in December. In addition to horse riding, Federico is a golfer and is preparing for the Ryder at the Military Golf Club.
The Gimnasio Moderno wishes the best to this great athlete who upholds the name of the school.
