Following the schedule authorized by the Superior Council, the General Secretariat of the Gimnasio Moderno Foundation convened the 607 members of the Electoral Body to participate in the elections held on April 24, 25, and 26. These elections allowed for the selection of four of the twelve members that make up the Plenary Board.
The vote count, led by the Superior Council and conducted on April 26, resulted in the election of:

Ricardo Santamaría Salamanca, class of 1978
Jorge Alfredo Vargas Angulo, class of 1983
Mauricio García-Herreros Castañeda, class of 1987
Thus, the new Plenary Board of the Gimnasio Moderno Foundation is

In the second statutory meeting of this governing body, held on Saturday, May 23, 2024, the Plenary Board unanimously agreed to re-elect Juan Arturo González Rojas as President and Francisco Javier Escobar Onofre as Secretary.

ACCORDING TO THE STATUTES OF THE GIMNASIO MODERNO FOUNDATION THE PLENARY BOARD MEETS FOUR TIMES A YEAR:
1. In the first meeting, reports from the Superior Council, the Principal, the Procurator, and the Fiscal Auditor are reviewed. Additionally, the Fiscal Auditor is appointed for a one-year term.
2. In the second meeting, those elected take office and the members receive a report on the activities carried out in the Foundation’s institutions during the first half of the year.
3. The third meeting is held jointly with the Superior Council, without the presence of school directors, and aims to analyze the progress of the Gimnasio Moderno Foundation and the results of its institutions.
4. In the fourth and final meeting, the budget for the following year is reviewed, and up to three members of the seven-member Superior Council are appointed if deemed necessary. In the following video, you can see an infographic that explains the governance of the Gimnasio Moderno Foundation:
