Second Decroly students had the opportunity to carry out a cultural exchange with fourth grade students from “The Beacon School”, located in Sao Paulo.
The students exchanged two letters with their new Brazilian friends, where each one taught the other a little about the culture of their country, its gastronomy, its music, the fauna and flora of each territory, in addition to the representative carnivals of each country, such as the Barranquilla Carnival and the Rio de Janeiro Carnival.
After having contact through letters, the children had a virtual meeting to get to know each other and solve the questions they had about the idiosyncrasy and culture of each country.
This cultural exchange was a great opportunity to open our minds to the world, knowing different realities, which generate empathy and tolerance for differences.
