The eleventh grade student, Alejandro Cruz, won the gold medal in the South American Squash Championship held in Cartagena, under the team modality. Alejandro represented Colombia, becoming the champion team of the event.
Since he was 8 years old, Alejandro has practiced competitive squash. His discipline and perseverance have led him to participate in seven South American tournaments, where he has participated with the Colombian national team since he was 10 years old. He has also participated in the USA Open and the Canadian Open.
For Gimnasio Moderno, it is a source of pride to have athletes like Alejandro. His discipline, which adds sporting achievements for the country and for the school, are an example for everyone to follow.
