From October 25 to October 29, different activities were held on the school campus, all focused on the youngest children.
The cultural week for Preschool was inaugurated at the Little Theater Don Os, with a flag raising activity on which the students were rewarded for their participation, good behavior and companionship. Although only a few were awarded, all the school community celebrated their teammates’ triumph as their own.
Monday continued in the best way thanks to The Magic Show, a magic presentation on which the school community was taken to a fantasy world. After the break, the Montessori I and Montessori II students delved into the world of cooking. The first course did it with The Dessert Shop, where the children learned about the art of baking, meanwhile, in Montessori II, Master chef Junior was carried out, an activity that let the students’ imagination fly, to make the more original and, of course, delicious recipes.
Cultural Tuesday began with the Raising of Values, which rewarded the youngest for their merit, fraternity and support for their classmates.
The students then enjoyed a play titled Pets R Us, an educational and laugh-filled show for children. The performance was presented in its entirety in English, in addition, the students who decided to participate in it, learned that pets are living beings that deserve love and care.
The toy hospital was developed in the quadrangle of the Elementary building. In it, the children brought their toys damaged by different modules that were administered by their teachers, in them it was possible to repair the seams, paint and missing pieces, making use of traditional elements such as the needle, thread and glue, as well as 3D pencils that allowed to create pieces from scratch, to give a new breath of life to those toys that brought hours and hours of fun to the little ones.
Wednesday began with the delivery of the excursionist’s kerchief, a traditional school ceremony that was resumed after the year, on which among the children of Montessori I, as godchildren, and the oldest of the school, as godparents, they mutually deliver the kerchief as symbol of a legacy that marks school community.
In the Elementary building, different tables full of books were placed so that the students could choose the one they liked the most, in the Choose Your Book activity. Halloween pumpkins were also built to decorate the school and ignite the spirit of the children’s month.
The day ended with an academic rumba led by the teachers, there the children showed their best dance steps, in a moment of relaxation and joy.
Thursday was a field trip day, in which the students had their first approach to a trip of this type, proudly wearing the kerchief that was given to them by their 11th grade schoolmates.
Friday was costumes day. The teachers wore costumes that alluded to the movie Space Jam and with the little ones from Montessori and First Decroly as their audience, they held a soccer game outdoors. At the end, the students went to see a movie at the Little Theater Don Os.
The Cultural Week ended with the Costume Parade, which was held at the Cultural Center and was a sample of the creativity of the first years of the school. The event was accompanied by a secret character who turned out to be the Rector, Víctor Alberto Gómez Cusnir, who always surprises with the originality of his costumes.
