Since he met chess, Abraham Casallas, a third-grader Decroly student, saw in it a great sport to practice his creativity and think of different strategies that allow him to beat his rival. For this reason, when he was able to enter the extracurricular activities of the school, he did not hesitate to be part of the chess team.
Since then, Abraham has professionalized his technique, improved his periods of concentration and developed his mathematical skills with discipline, generating confidence in his strategic movements.
On February 22nd and 23rd, the Bogotá Chess League together with the District, held the District Chess Tournament that called the best chess players in the city. Abraham participated in the Sub 10 category, where he took third place with the same score of the first two who performed 4 tiebreaker techniques.
For the Gimnasio Moderno it is a great pride to have athletes like Abraham, who with their discipline and dedication help to the recognition of the school. We wish him great success in his career as a chess player.
