The Gimnasio Moderno became the first educational institution in Bogotá to receive the Biosafety Operations certification from ICONTEC, after verifying the implementation and application of biosafety protocols and validating that they minimize the risks for the 960 students, thus as well as for teachers, collaborators, visitors and providers.
“Being certified by ICONTEC, as an educational institution in the systematic implementation and application of biosafety protocols to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19, is a sign of the school’s commitment to the care and protection of children. Likewise, it is a message of peace of mind for parents, who in the coming days will have to make the decision to send their children to the campus”. The certificate awarded to the institution highlights that the school achieved the highest score out of the total of 100%.
The Gimnasio Moderno has always maintained a constant commitment to quality in its educational services. In 2019 it received the certification Great Place to Study, worldwide tool that measures the satisfaction and happiness of students, teachers, parents and alumni of educational institutions and entered the “Top 50 Great Schools Colombia”. Currently, the school has applied to be a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), a validation process in which educational institutions are evaluated using a set of international standards as a basis.
The Biosafety Operations certification is one of the services created by ICONTEC during the health emergency caused by COVID-19, to accompany the institutions in the safe reactivation of their operations and leave a mark of trust by validating their biosafety protocols and the quality of its programs, processes and services.
