Isabelita joined the Gimnasio as a Decroly teacher. She worked with the Interest Centers led by the children of the Primary, section that she directed to which she gave her life.

In mid-January, Ernesto Bein, the Prof, came to Colombia, who was invited by mister Agustín to visit the Gimnasio after having talked with him in Cheltenham, England, during a world congress on education.

COMPANY OF THE TEACHERS
The students of class 1938 of Professor Ernesto Bein, are accompanied by mister Agustín Nieto Caballero (founder), mister Tomás Rueda Vargas (Principal) and mister Alfonso Jaramillo (Vice Principal).
A stone aquarium, surrounded by greenery, was installed near the Greenhouse and the Aviary, on the north side of the Main Building. It captivated the students with the beauty of its fish and encouraged them to learn about aquatic fauna.

With blue eyes and blond mustache, mister Ricardo Lleras Codazzi said that the Gimnasio Moderno’s method consisted in playing. His Natural Sciences and Geography classes were given in the best setting: outdoors. President Eduardo Santos imposes the Boyacá Cross on the Gimnasio Moderno on occasion of the commemoration of its Silver Anniversary.
On the occasion of the celebration of the first 25 years of the school, the Founders Park was inaugurated as an act of recognition and gratitude for the promoters of the institution.
