A few days ago, Juan Sebastián Castiblanco Pazos, fulfilled his dream: be admitted to study Aerospace Engineering at The University of Kansas, an institution from which several personalities recognized as “space prodigies” have graduated.
Gimnasio Moderno, upon identifying the impetus of his passion, decided to support the initiative proposed by his family, so that he could graduate early. His research project, written entirely in English, was entitled: How the Egyptian Revolution of 2011 influenced the use of technology in the recent social movements in Colombia in 2019. As a result, he is already an alumnus of the class of 2021.
When he was in school, he was characterized for being a dedicated and restless student. Throughout his school life he sang in the children’s choir, participated in sports schools, competed with the swimming team, was part of the band, did programs in the radio station and had the opportunity to travel to New York to represent the school with the Debate Group. He assures that all these experiences helped him to structure his personality to be able to face the interview at his university.
Juan Sebastian is convinced that the constant support of the school and his family were fundamental for his personal and academic growth, which led him to become passionate about the aerospace world.
Now he dreams of making great contributions to science and representing Colombia and Gimnasio Moderno the best way he can.
