From Tuesday, March 17, the school made available to the Gimnasio’s Community the Virtual Campus, an innovative and pedagogical way to continue offering quality education, while the public health situation is normalized.
The implementation of the Virtual Campus has been carried out in three phases. The first phase began with the design of virtual spaces, where each section made adjustments to its activities to focus on the virtual platform. Teachers were trained in the new virtual options that make possible good teaching for students to continue their academic year without any negative impact.
From the 13th of April the second phase started making adjustments to the sections. After a survey of our students about their perception of their virtual classes, the necessary changes were made to meet their expectations and obviously those of families. This is how, for example, the psychology department included new spaces of support for the community. Likewise, the program of diverse skills from universal design to learning, makes reasonable adjustments for students who require it. Therefore, our educational community responds to the needs of this moment and takes into account the development of students in a comprehensive way.
Last Tuesday, the third phase of implementation began in the Virtual Campus of the Gimnasio Moderno with the inclusion in the school schedule of activities focused on providing welfare and emotional support.
One day of the week, all courses will have the possibility to have different spaces that will allow them to build more tools of resilience and sense of life. In the morning, well-being will be promoted from the emotional, physical and development of creativity. Also, in the afternoon, students will have spaces for support and reinforcements.
With the implementation of this phase, Gimnasio’s community will continue to grow, taking advantage of the tools to live with purpose and developing the strengths and abilities to deal with adversity.
The Virtual Campus of the Gimnasio Moderno not only seeks to contribute to the academic learning process, but to train students in every way, from their well-being and emotional stability, to the development of their creativity. An education model linked to the humanistic ideals of the Institution.
