After almost a year of preparation, on Saturday, August 14, 52 students of Fourth Grade Decroly received the sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time by which they accepted the body and blood of Jesus Christ in their lives. Last year, due to the contingency caused by Covid-19, the students were unable to have this celebration.
The activities began on Friday, August 13, with a breakfast offered by the school authorities in honor of the students who would receive their first communion. That evening, the families gathered for the traditional Ceremony of Light and donated groceries that they placed at the disposal of the Monsignor Emilio De Brigard Foundation.
The liturgical celebration, which was guided by Father John Roderick, was held in three separate ceremonies in order to respect the biosecurity measures and the capacity control of the Chapel of the Holy Apostles.
The school thanks all the people of the Primary Section and the collaborators who made this special celebration possible. We are proud to contribute to the faith of the students and to offer families the possibility of building a sacramental life within Catholicism.
