Students, teachers and administrative staff will participate in a new version of the Race Against Hunger to be held on May 23 and 24 on the school campus.
This is a sporting event with a social cause: Competitors will receive a small economic contribution from their sponsors, which will be determined according to the number of laps they run around the high school soccer field. On this occasion, 70% of the donations will go to the Monsignor Emilio De Brigard Foundation, specifically to its scholarship program. This program aims to provide higher education opportunities to more high school graduates of Gimnasio Sabio Caldas and children of general services employees.
These will be the schedules of participation:
What happens after the Race Against Hunger?
During the 10 days following the race, each student must collect all donations from their sponsors, who must commit to multiply their pledge by the number of laps run by the competitor on the day of the race.
We invite you to make donations after the race, that is, on May 25, through the following link: https://vaki.co/es/vaki/ocNn4UMICz7hup6UNOmh, or in cash through the solidarity envelopes. Deposit points will be set up at the school for all cash donations, which will be accounted for between Action Against Hunger and the school. This will guarantee total transparency in the process of delivering the final amount to the Monsignor Emilio De Brigard Foundation and Action Against Hunger. Both entities will be in charge of informing the participants about the outcome of the race and the impact on the most vulnerable children and young people in our country.
The entire Action Against Hunger team is immensely grateful for the commitment and effort of the school community.
