Good Treatment Week
Activities to promote peaceful coexistence and values.
In the first week of May, the Gimnasio Moderno will celebrate the Good Treatment week. This year’s topic will focus on promoting strengths of character, love, kindness, and social intelligence.
As a community, the school understands that character strengths are positive traits or abilities that are highly personally rewarding to others and can be valued across cultures. Love is the ability to love and be loved, valuing relationships with others, facilitating affection and mutual care.
Kindness is being able to be generous with other, enjoying doing kind or compassionate actions, even towards people with whom you do not have significant relationships. It is part of the premise of giving equal value to others as one do to one’s self. A person who has social intelligence, is aware of their own emotions and the emotions of others, knows how to behave in different interpersonal contexts, identifies what things are important to others and acts with empathy.
The Diverse Capacities and Let’s treat each other well program, together with the Department of Psychology, designed several activities so that the school community, their families and teachers, can experience from emotions, words and actions, manifestations that promote the good treatment, peaceful coexistence and comfortable bonds to prevent bullying.
The activities to be carried out are:
