Last February 16, 17 and 18, the school’s debate group participated in the Model United Nations MMUN XIV that took place at the Marymount. This event was attended by more than 15 educational institutions of Bogota, where more than 15 committees were developed to discuss various issues of national and international interest.
Students from the school received distinctions such as best committee delegate, outstanding delegate and other honorable mentions. Among them, the meritorious distinction awarded to tenth grade student José Pablo Barrios, who was recognized as the best delegate of the entire event, stood out.
Gimnasio Moderno congratulates the students: Matías Valencia, Martín Villamil, Manuel Garcés, Juan Andrés Rivera, Juan Daniel Palacios, Daniel Díaz, Hugo González, Gabriel Castillo, Pablo Lleras, Camilo Mendoza and Juan José Yepes, as well as their academic advisor, former student Pablo Martínez Colón (class of 2021), who represented the school with an excellent participation, being recognized for their argumentation, negotiation, oratory and problem-solving skills.
